About Annie...

I have one husband, two pet dogs and one cat.
My hobbies are geocaching, pets, walking, camping, travelling in New Zealand, reading and puzzles. I enjoy scrapbooking, cross-stitching and other crafty activities when I get a chance. I sometimes work as a teacher and I am a volunteer for my local animal protection society.

We have never travelled overseas so I joined Postcrossing because it seems like an interesting way to learn a little more about other countries and peoples.

I would enjoy learning greetings in many new languages, so if you would like to write a greeting or a sentence in your own language I can learn from you.

I have listed some postcards I like below, but I still like surprises too! Some of my favourites only became favourites because a kind Postcrosser send me a surprise. So almost all postcards are welcomed and loved!!!

My very favourite postcard that I would love to receive is pictures of polar bears in their natural environment!!! (I WILL SWAP for polar bear postcards.)

Postcards I collect are:
- polar bears (and other bears)
- bridges
- cats('real'or art)
- cacti/desert scenes.

Other cards I would like to receive are:
- Other Arctic animals/birds – foxes, wolves, owls, rabbits etc
- Any native birds and animals of your own area
- Wilderness/nature, especially if it show the seasons
- Wildflowers or blossoms
- City nightscapes
- Horses, Hedgehogs, Peacocks, Owls
- Sunrise/sunset
- Historic or famous buildings
- Other kinds of bears like panda bears, grizzly bears, sun bears, koala'bears' etc
- Doors, gates, windows, fences, archways
- Mail boxes, post boxes

I am quite happy to receive art, ad or handmade cards if they feature any of the themes above. I don’t mind if postcards are multi-view or single view

I would not like any postcards featuring naked or barely clothed people, alcohol or tobacco. I do not like animals that are dressed up either.

I also prefer not to receive joke/humour cards, because usually I don’t understand them!!! (Sorry)

If you are not sure what to write you could tell me how you spend your day, all about your pets, what kind of animals or birds are special in your country, places you wish to visit or have visited, your other hobbies, or some information about your country. If you are a student you could tell me about what you are studying, why you chose that subject and what are you hopes and dreams for your future.
