About Lina...

Dear YUE from BEIJING, could you sent your ID, because we can not find it on your beautiful postcard and we can not register it...

LABAS (Hello) from Dovile (9 years old) and her mom Lina!

We live in a beautiful capital of Lithuania Vilnius. Another part of our lovely family is brother Vykintas (age 11) and dad Saulius. You can visit their postcrossing site (user/saolin).
Our pets are fishes and degus.

I, Lina, am children book,s illustrator and chief editor of literary magazine for children “Laimiukas“, working at children,s books publishing house “Nieko rimto“.

Dovile likes to draw too. She attends Lithuanian folk,s music groupe, plays with traditional instrument kankles (similar to the zither), dreams to became not only painter, but a balet dancer, music teacher, writer:) Dovile is collecting post stamps by theme animals and flowers.

There are many things, what we like to do together. We both likes ballet, children books, nature, traveling, bicycling, photographing, table games, medieval, folk and classic music, theatre, but most of all we like to spend time together with our family!
We are greeting an idea of postcrossing! Writting words each for other by hand going to fulfill wishes – it is so nice!

There are some favorite themes of postcards, what we are collecting:

- fairies (we belive, that there is a wonderful world of fairies at the deep secret places and would want to have some their images:)

- animals juveniles:)

- painted or drawn cats:)

- old ships, lighthouses (it are so romantic:)

- butterflies (they remind for us fairies:)

- especial, amazing, favorite views of nature from your land

- children,s books illustrations by Tove Janson, Sven Nordqvist, Janosh, Fiep Westendorp, Zdenek Miler, Beatrix Potter, Hans de Bear, Inga Moore (but maybe you have your favourite books illustrator from your country? Let us know about it)!

- illustrations created by Quint Buchholz - the special present for Lina - this Germany author is her favorite illustrator.

- old castles images (it is so fine to look at postcard with castle from your land and imagine ladies, knights, music, games, selebrations of that ancient times:)

- hand-made postcard from different materials (it keeps the warmth of your hands and heart)

- ballet and ballet-dancers (we like to visit balet performances, Dovile is attender of Balet studio:)

– eagle and owl photos are so waiting at this time, because Lina now is illustrating a book about it...
