About Julie...

*NB: I have lost the ability to upload images which I have sent. I have yet to test whether I can upload images I have received. So I would appreciate all cards sent to me or received from me being updated.

I'm a devoted postcard collector having travlled extensively overseas, so my favourite postcards are:

Most importantly: Tourist sites.
Cities & towns (I like 'multiple views' but not exclusively)
Landmarks (famous buildings) & monuments (statues, etc)
'Map' cards with maps of cities, countries, states, provinces
Flag cards
Art galleries/museums and cards of the artwork in the museums
Football & other sporting venues (I support Liverpool FC)
The Beatles
People of your country especially wearing national costume (for Japan, the drawings of women in kimonos)
Political themes (e.g. birthplaces of political figures)
Anything to do with music, history or literature (e.g. birthplaces of famous musicians or writers)
Places of learning (universities, etc)
Wildlife (if there are no tourist cards to send)
I do like some animal cards; polar bears, penguins, wolves, also roosters/chickens, eagles & Akita dogs (we had an Akita & I miss him)
For those in the UK I love the London Underground & would welcome any cards featuring the Underground posters or any London Transport posters (but not the Tube map itself). It's the 150th anniversary of the Tube this year & I would love cards commerorating this. I also like the Royal Mail stamp cards & maxicards from other countries.
For those in the US I am currently interested in Route 66 cards, as my favourite musician, Glenn Frey of the Eagles, recently released his version of this song.
For those in Finland I'd be happy if you sent an Angry Birds card.
I would also appreciate it if you would write the date on the card.

However, I'm usually not a fan of cartoons (unless it's related to your country & you can translate the message), or very 'cutesy' or 'kitsch' cards. I'm also not a fan of monochrome or 'antique' cards & I would prefer not to receive anything hand made or greetings cards, and no envelopes.
I'm not at all interested in seasonal cards, freecards or ad cards.
My favourites gallery is quite large & gives a very good indication of the cards I like. As can be seen the majority of them are 'tourist' cards. In line with what appears to be general policy I don't make the cards I receive favourites.
