About Karen...
I am 27 years old and a student living in the Beehive State. I am studying History, and Gender Studies (When I am finished I am pursuing an MA in Library Sciences and Information Preservation). I love reading, cooking, gardening, traveling, perusing thrift stores and flea markets, drinking tea with friends, watching old movies, hiking and a great deal more than that but I won't bore you with it here. I am learning Spanish right now, so if you are a Spanish speaker, I would love if you could write to me in Spanish.
If you don't know what to write, I always love to hear about news from your part of the world, a story about the card, a story about yourself, urban/folk legends from your area, maybe a recipe. I also like book, film, or movie recommendations. A card with a lot of writing makes me smile.
I love postcrossing and I am appreciative of every card I receive, so keep in mind that my preferences are are merely suggestions. That being said I would especially love postcards relating to:
* Anything relating to the history or traditions of your country.
* Antique, Vintage, or Retro.
* Cemeteries, Ancient Ruins, Oddities, Spooky Themes.
* Museums.
* Literature, Film, Music.
* Old homes, Old Buildings, Castles.
* UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
* Foods, Beer, Wine, and Tea.
* Volkswagen.
* The Muppets.
* Trees.
* Folklore and Fairy Tales.
* Cards with images of women.
* Cards showing the birthplace or home of a famous/historical figure from your country.
* Beautiful views of cities, architecture, coastlines, landmarks
or landscapes in your country.
* I would love to receive any cards I have marked as "favorites", or cards similar to them.
If you are from...
*Denmark and could send a card of The Little Mermaid Statue,
*The U.K. and could send a card of The Jamaica Inn in Cornwall, or the Roman Baths in Bath,
*Iceland and could send a card of the Blue Lagoon,
*Japan and could send a card with the Maneki Neko cats,
*Czech Republic and could send a card from the Sedlec Ossuary,
...you would make me extremely happy!
Cards I am not particularly fond of:
* Multi-view Cards
* Free Advertisement cards
* Cards that have been put in envelopes.
If you have read this far thank you! I can't wait to hear from you all!
