Dear friend!
Great that you are going to send me a piece of your heart.
Could you, please, write what's happening in your life or in the life of your town, state, county, country.
Just "Hello from ... ! Happy postcrossing!" is rather disappointing.
And Google Translate is helpful, too :).

As for the image on the card, here are some ideas:
- usual scenes from life in your country (professions, local holidays, customs, just people doing ordinary things)
- national clothes and food, or food and clothes in general
- (local) animals and birds (wild preferably, or domestic like cows, sheep, geese)
- terrifying or generally detested insects (praying mantis, spiders, worms, cockroaches, beetles, etc)
- unusual buildings
- bird-eye views
- (drawn) maps
- famous people (politicians, TV presenters, royals, writers, poets, composers)
- cards with quotes and sayings
- close-ups
- painting reproductions
- a Moomin series or an Inge Löök card
- Nouvelles Images - food series (I've got French cheese, rabbits and French patisseries: GB-226765, NL-695215, BE-113726) or any other series.

After 3 years in postcrossing I have to say that I am not happy about traditional multi-views, I think every view is unique and deserves a separate card. The only exception is a series of windows, doors or houses from some location. Thank you for understanding.

Тема "открытка из России, но не по-русски" присутствует на многих национальных форумах посткроссеров СНГ. В основном, в ключе "как?!".
Я не обижусь, если вы захотите поупражняться в немецком или английском и напишете не по-русски :).
Здорово было бы получить открытку на национальном языке республики, автономной области, края или на диалекте. Хотя бы пару слов.
