About SzczurTorebkowy...

I'm a mother of almost two years old boy. That's a poor description of me, but it describes perfectly what currently occupies me most of the time. By the way, I'm great fan of breastfeeding, babywearing etc.
I love reading. In fact when I buy a handbag the first question is whether there is enough place for a book. Buying books is also nice, unfortunately I don't have neither enough room nor enough money for them, so I collect mostly the books, I suppose I will return to. Oh, and my job is one big opportunity to watch, touch and smell books - I'm a librarian (oook;).
I like learning languages. Or to be more precise, speaking foreign languages. Now I'm trying to learn Czech, but there are so many others, I would like to know. I also enjoy traveling abroad, watching new places, realizing time after time that people over there really not only speak but also think in other languages.
During my pregnancy I started to embroider cute cross-stitch pictures of bears for my little one - now I'm stitching the fourth one. And recently I've discovered the world of patchwork.
Together with my husband and son I live in Łódź the third biggest city in Poland. It was practically a village until
nineteenth century industrialisation then it grew rapidly and was famous for its textile industry, but what I like about this
time is that there lived together people of many nations: Poles, Jews, Russians and Germans.

Now you know something about me and are anxious to know what kind of postcard I'm interested in? Well, the motives I enjoy finding on the postcards are:
- bright colours,
- interesting details,
- windows, doors, gates,
- shop or bar entrances,
- local food markets,
- country cottages,
- books,
- dandelions,
- Moomins,
- Krtek,
- Inge Löök's ladies...
Since I joined Postcrossing I desperately and hopelessly felt in love with ***Atelier Nouvelles Images*** postcards. I also admire the ***Bildreichkarten***'s calm and freshness. I must admit thou, I'm not a great fan of vintage cards. But of course any card will be appreciated :). And I will be most delighted, if you write me something that would help me to know you a little better: what you like, what you dislike, your peculiar habits, something that make you unique, what makes your life worth living, your harmless secret, what are you thinking at the moment... The more, the better :)
