About Denice...

I am 65 years old and have been married for 46 years. I have one daughter, two grandsons, one granddaughter, and three parrots. I live in Ohio, USA. I am a retired manuscript proofreader for a publishing company. My husband and I like to travel around the United States in our travel trailer seeing unusual sites and collecting postcards. The postcards I send come from all over the United States. I like to read, draw, collect postage stamps, and do needlepoint in my spare time.

*****If you're from Finland, Belarus, or Guernsey I'd love it if you could use the new Postcrossing stamps! That would be great!*****

If you're from Bulgaria I LOVE LOVE LOVE the cards shaped like your country! So far I have two and they each have different images on them, so I'd really love to collect a LOT more of them! If you want to know which ones I have just check my wall and use the filter to show cards from Bulgaria. And you don't need to put them in an envelope, they come through the mail just fine!

Some ideas:
Lighthouses
Waterfalls
I love old-fashioned and retro cards from the 1950s and earlier
Old advertisements
Old books
World's Fair--past or present, from any year
Cards of local outdoor, open-air markets
Subway system maps or public transportation maps or maps of your city or country
Hot-air balloons
UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Parrots
Or I would love to receive a scenic postcard that shows how beautiful your country is

If you're from the United States please tell me why I should visit your area. What does your area have that is unique and even a little peculiar? Is your city or state famous for something? My husband and I are always looking for new places to visit and plan to visit all 50 states.

And I love lots of beautiful postage stamps on cards!

I'm not crazy about animal cards, cards of movies or actors, or religious cards, and I don't collect Moomin, so you can save those for the many people who love them and appreciate them.

Please no postcards in envelopes if possible, because I really like the stamps and cancellation marks on the cards. Thank you!
