About Anna...

Hello dear Postcrossers!

My name is Anna and I’m happy to welcome you to my profile. I live in Vyazma, a town in the west of Russia. I work as a teacher and enjoy my job immensely, probably because I’m still a child at heart :) I’ve got a cat. Her name is Sonya and, apart from being a ravishing beauty, she is really intelligent and pretty strong-willed. She usually helps me to write postcards by sitting on the table (or even on the card :D) and inspiring me.

One of my greatest passions is music. I enjoy listening to it and playing it. A year ago I started fulfilling one of my lifelong dreams and took up violin classes. I’ve been playing every day since then and it’s just fantastic! I also play a little bit of the guitar and the piano. So, if you have cards with a musical instrument (or anything related to music), I’d just love to receive one of them!

Besides, last year I fell in love with ballet. Isn't it an amazing kind of art? It involves so much hard work and yet when you are watching a performance, the dancers seem to glide and fly around with such perfect ease! Have you got a ballet-related card? You know what to do ;)

I’m also quite a big reader and a cinema-lover, enjoying all kinds of stories, especially fantasy and children’s fiction, so I’m really looking forward to cards with Harry Potter, The Lord of The Rings, The Little Prince, Alice in Wonderland, the Moomins or any other characters you particularly like (Actually, I enjoy all kinds of whimsical/ fantasy-related cards). Also, it would be great if you could recommend me your favourite book/film/series or a story that has impressed you recently.

Unfortunately, travelling is rather difficult for me, as I’ve been disabled since the age of 4, using a wheelchair to move around. So I’d love to receive tourist cards as well, especially those with beautiful nature or unusual architecture.

It so happened that a few years ago I took up collecting angels and now I’ve got about a hundred of them (thanks to my dear friends and students!) That’s why cards with angels and fairies are very much appreciated. Apart from that, I’m a big fan of cute cards (lovely animals/children, beautiful paintings) and I’m very fond of Inge Löök, Christina Crocus and Ekaterina Babok’s cards.

I’ve been studying languages for as long as I remember myself. Now I’m working on my French and Spanish, so if you are a native speaker of one of these languages (or want to practice them), feel free to use them. :)

Well, that’s it about my interests. Now you know me quite well and I’m impatient to get to know you! Please, tell me a little about yourself. What hobbies have you got? What makes you happy? What are you dreaming of? What is the last book you read?

I love every single postcard I get. If you don’t have any topics I mentioned above, it’s totally fine. Choose anything you like yourself and be sure that it will make me happy. Have an amazing day and happy Postcrossing!

Anna :)
