About Papa...

I am retired and live here in Massachusetts. Since health issues have slowed me down (2011) I retired as volunteer for the Friends of Boston Harbor Islands and the Boston Harbor Islands National Park. I volunteered on Boston Light, America's first lighthouse station (1716) and the only manned in America. I also narrated harbor and lighthouse cruises for Boston Harbor Cruises. I used to do talks on lighthouses and do library displays on them too The Winter month were spent in Naples, Florida, where I spent much time in the Everglades photographing the flora and fauna. My health has deteriorated a bit more, oxygen 7/24 and in a wheelchair but my spirit and attitude are as positive as ever. I have been visiting and photographing lighthouses for over fifty years and love the sea. Anyone reading this profile I hope can see I've had a blessed life. Each morning when I wake I know that it's the first day of the rest of my life and I intend to enjoy it to the fullest. In the evening when I go to bed I always say a prayer for those millions of people who haven't been as fortunate as me. I really enjoy corresponding with people around the world. Enjoy photography, reading (American History and Mysteries/Crime) music,Blues,Jazz,Cuban and Fado. I am also a very lucky and proud Grandfather with thirteen grandchildren and one great grand daughter and to all of them I am Papa Skip.
