I really don't mind what kind of postcards I receive, but if you'd like
any suggestions to help choose a card, here's a general list of my interests.
My real favourites are fairy tale illustrations or folk tales & myths/legends from local regions.
and then:
- UNESCO World Heritage sites.
- the Northern Lights
- castles
- people in traditional dress/costume
- Map postcards, eg State, region maps, metro maps
- anything to do with books (especially drawn illustrations, children's books eg TinTin - but no film versions like Disney)
- endangered species, especially monkeys, apes, orangutans
- Jazz musicians
A wish list of cards can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/30504678@N05/favorites/
If your first language isn't English, it would be lovely if you wrote a few lines in your own language. Especially if you use a different script - I'm fascinated by different scripts such as Chinese, Japanese and Arabic, they're so beautiful.
PS This is a plea to my Finnish postcrosser friends. I have had a lot of cards from Finland, and most have been of a green field. In fact, I have several of the same card and the same field! Please, please, please could you send something other than fields?! Maybe some architecture/famous buildings or art or moomins...anything but a field!?
