Hi!

I´m Shira, a 22 year old Dutch girl, currently living in The Hage (the city where the parliament is), because I´m studying there now: Nutrition and Dietetics. This after I studied Cultural Antropology in Amsterdam, without finishing it.

There´s one thing at which I´m very good at, which is doing nothing. Now, with Postcrossing, I´ll try to fill my nothing time with postcardwriting, wich I think is an aprovement! I love travelling, getting to know other cultures and people, and still want to discover so many new places and people of all over the world. By sending postcards I hope to reach a lot of them!

My dream is to build a little farm somewhere in a beautyfull place! Growing my own fruits and vegetables, picking the fruit while the sun is shining and just enjoing life as much as possible, which I´m already doing actually, although somethimes it´s hard with the grey sky of Holland.. I love sitting in trains, riding the bike, swimming the sea, climbing a mountain, playing the sax and the guitar, knitting a scarf, making a bracelet, reading a book, watching a movie, listen a song and cook (if by any change you have a great recipe without animal products, I would be a verry happy person to read it on your card! And to cook it, of course;))

CARDS:
I would love to receive arty cards, which you can intrepratate as you like. For example a special/ funny/ modern picture, painting/drawing or print (not necesarily of your country,but it would be nice!). Also I like cards with people (I love portrets!) from all over the world (your country?) (escpecially in typical clothing), or a nice card of nature, food, old and typical buildings/ monuments/ religous places and markets. Oh and I love cards with bright colors or simply black and white, I just like some creativity:)

(If you aren´t sure what to send, you could take a look at my favorite cards, I think it represents quiet well what kind of cards I like, but ofcourse I will be so so happy with every card I receive!)

I will be happy with whatever card you´ve picked for me! Please tell me your strange habbits, your thoughts of the day, some life lessons, a joke, a receipe... Surprise me!

(Oh and, if you are speaking Spanish, Italian, French and German (Hebrew too, although I don´t speak it, but I want to learn it) please write in that language, just if you want to ofcourse:))
