About Sheryl...

Hi there,

My name is Sheryl, I am 36 year old and live in the middle of England, in a small town with my husband and our four cats. The local area is famous for the Great Central Railway, Bradgate Park where Lady Jane Grey lived, and the Sock Man statue in the town centre. I love to learn about new places but cannot travel very much due to a health condition called Fibromyalgia.

I keep my mind as active as possible doing various hobbies including:-
watercolour painting - my profile picture is one of mine,
learning to play the piano - I am around grade 4 standard now after 3 years hard work,
crocheting small toys called Amigurumi to give to friends and for charity,
I also just started doing craft swaps with Facebook friends by making and sending a craft item and receiving a craft item in return,
and I make my own birthday cards for friends and family.

I have now started to learn Japanese kana and would love to see some Japanese writing.

I would love to receive postcards with just 1 picture on that I could use to practice my painting skills. Pictures that have just a few colours or one main subject are perfect but I love to receive any postcards that you send and I love to hear about you and where you live, your hobbies and local sights or specialities.

A poem would also be very nice to receive or some words in your language with a translation.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

Happy Postcrossing! :o)

PS Please do not send a picture that would not be appropriate for a child to see - I've added this comment since receiving a postcard of a naked man (not a statue) which I found upsetting. Thank you for understanding.
