About Michele...

Hello, my name is Michele. I sketched the light house scene on my page and I think it says a lot about me, which reflects my love of art and the amazing sea.

My profession is Social Work and I very much enjoy the older people I serve.

Pets and animals of all sorts are for me. I adopted two very loveable rescued Greyhounds from race tracks and I also have two sweet kitties. All 4 get along well I may add. I also have a child of the human variety....who I think I'll also keep. lol

Travel for me is exciting and where ever I visit, I am immediately drawn to art galleries, craft shops, historical places & museums, as I'm am also a lover of history. Learning about other people's cultures, interests, customs and their environments is what I enjoy. Plane fares may keep a person from taking as many vacations as we'd prefer, but thankfully being a part of postcrossing allows us all to travel often ! I get quite happy and excited with anticipation when opening my mail box, knowing I may find one of your postcards ! Such surprises in life are quite nice ! It's so good to meet people from around the world, sharing our differences and common interests.

Postcard favorites:

Cards that reflect where you live. Old fashioned cards from Victorian times all the way to the 1970's. If you don't have any from those periods, I surely welcome newer cards too. Some cards old and new alike I'd enjoy are: Hotels, Motels & Inns, Transportation (airlines, passenger trains, cruises), beautiful scenery.... especially of the Sea.

Thank you in advance for taking time to write to me and send me a card.

Update 12-2011: I received 3 postcards this week without any ID numbers. If you are reading this and are one of those people, please send me your ID numbers and I will register you right away. 1. USA, Smokey Mts. Knoxville, TN. 2. China, a beautiful lake and mountain scene, with verse:"man and nature in harmony"
