I live in Oakwood, a small suburb of Dayton, Ohio. Dayton is the birthplace of powered flight. The Wright brothers built their airplanes in a bicycle shop in Dayton and perfected powered flight in a field near what is now Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
I enjoy reading, camping, hiking, geocaching, photography, and high-powered model rocketry. I am Cubmaster for my son's Cub Scout Pack and am an assistant youth soccer coach.
I'm a "recovering lawyer" and used to work in product management for one of the largest online legal, news and business information providers in the world. I was laid off during summer of 2008 and decided to switch things up a bit so I'm now attending nursing school full time and I love it!
I'd love to receive postcards showing a notable site, building or landscape in your home country. I'm particularly interested in postcards of medieval cathedrals since I just finished reading Ken Follett's masterpiece, "Pillars of the Earth." Also, anything related to Scouting in your home country would be appreciated. Thanks!
