About Pamela...
Hello from the beautiful, historic city of Kingston, Canada.
I grew up on the East Coast of Canada and still have a great love for the Atlantic Provinces and the ocean. But Kingston is now my home, and I love living on the shore of Lake Ontario.
I work in a Pharmacy, am married and have two grown children and three loving cats. My avatar shows our Satchel. We also have another wonderful cat, Wesley, who is a big grey armful of love!
On March 10, we adoped an 11 year old tabby named Muffin, who we hope will be part of our family for a long time.
I love to do almost anything in the outdoors. I enjoy walking, hiking, canoeing, birdwatching and gardening. I love the winter as well and love to walk in the snow, cross country ski and skate.
I also enjoy indoor activites such as cooking, baking, knitting, listening to music and reading. There is almost nothing better than being curled up by the fire with a good book and a warm cat on your lap!
And, though I mostly like quiet activities, I love the roar of a jet engine, and love spotting planes! My husband and I love to visit our nearby military air base to see what's flying!
I love to travel, to visit art galleries and museums, and I love all animals.
I would love to receive a card that shows:
- what you love most about your country
- animals, birds or flowers from your country
- scenes of lakes, mountains, forests or any natural beauty
- the ocean and lighthouses
- historic locations or buildings
- black and white "vintage style" cards
- owls and sheep
- paintings (especially Japanese/Asian art)
- Airplane cards ( or anything military related for my husband!)
- my husband is also a huge Godzilla fan.........
But I like surprises and I know I will love whatever you choose!
I also love hand-made cards. I think it is very special to receive a card that someone has made themselves.
I collect stamps, so I am always happy to receive a nice stamp on the card.
I look forward to hearing from you, and as a very proud Canadian, I'd love to share a little bit of my country with you.
Pamela
