About PostMuse...

Please, no enveloped postcards. I like the traveled look.

Though I do try to match postcard theme to profiles when I'm sending postcards, I'm not at all fussy about the type of mail I receive. Really. Below are just suggestions. Please don't go out of your way to find something special. All mail is special for me.

Images related to mail of any sort are greatly appreciated. That's my mailbox as my avatar. Take a picture of your mailbox and send it as a postcard... that would THRILL me! Even if your "mailbox" is just a slot in your door. I have always wished I could live in a house with a mail slot, but in the US that is very rare these days.

I also like mail featuring amusement/theme parks, fountain pens, beverages, food, pretty doors/windows, reading, and birdhouses/birdfeeders. Mailart is always fun.

However, I do NOT appreciate religious cards or religious mail of any sort, including holiday cards. Save those cards for someone who will appreciate them.

If you like mailart, instead of sending me a postcard, send me three (3) flat pieces of anything you like in an envelope, and I'll create a piece of mailart with those three pieces and send it back to you. If you do this, don't forget to include the Postcrossing ID so your mailart-to-be can be registered.

For those who insist that this site is ONLY for sending postcards, please read the official FAQ, http://www.postcrossing.com/help/can-i-only-send-postcards and then relax and enjoy whatever you get.

I often wonder why people note their expired cards on their profiles, complete with IDs and the recipients' nicknames. Is it to shame someone into registering a card they haven't received? To me, detailing this sort of information is a bit like bullying. Cards expire for lots of reasons. Just let it go and send another card :-)
