My home is Jacksonville, Florida, USA. We have the largest area of any city in the United States. We are located just minutes from Jacksonville Beach, which is a favorite place for my family.
Unfortunately, I cannot scan my postcards into my received or sent cards. Please scan them into my received and sent cards if you are able to do so. This would really make me happy. Thank you.
I am a happily retired grandmother of 7, 2 boys, 5 girls, AJ, Hadley, Alex, Beth, Kristin, Katie and Ellie. I have 4 adult children, Grace (school principal), Robert (bartender, handyman), William (master sergeant police officer) and Theresa (dental hygienist). They are amazing people. I live with my youngest daughter and her family. We have a wonderful dog named Freckles and a playful cat named Furball. My career was transcribing radiology reports for 29 years for various hospitals.
I am a volunteer at my grandchildren's school in 4th grade filing and grading papers. I also volunteer occasionally at Jacksonville University in the nursing department acting as a patient. I also want to start sending postcards to servicemen in hospitals, especially those without families. Postcrossing has taught me to send and receive joy via postcards.
I enjoy cooking, drawing, playing piano (although I wish I could do all those things better) and attending church activities at my Catholic church and at my daughters' Protestant churches. I enjoy reading news about family and friends on Facebook. I enjoy making postcards from stamps so if you love stamps of flowers, butterflies, birds or animals, please let me know.
