About Magrietha...

Hi there. My name is Magrietha. I’m 47 years of age. I live nearby Rotterdam now, where I work as a secretary.

My hobbies are mainly creative ones, like: knitting, designing en making clothes, watercolor painting, making jewelry, and writing. And whenever I can find the time I like to cook, go hiking or read a good book.

Of course every card is welcome but I would really like:

- Old fashioned cards in black and white or sepia;
- Old advertisements;
- Black and white photography;
- Old books;
- Old door or window;
- Handmade cards;
- A still life;
- Lighthouses;
- A lone tree;
- Teacup or teapot;
- Old houses, wooden farms;
- A squirrel;
- Images in watercolor;
- Old sailing ships;
- Seasonal greetings (like spring, summer, autumn, etc.).

No worries if you couldn't find a card I have asked for. I'm one of those overenthusiastic people who simply enjoys every aspect of postcrossing. Every day I eagerly open my mailbox and if I find a postcard, I make a little dance of joy in the hallway of my apartment. (Fear not, my neighbors are already getting used to it.).

And I also love sending a card. I do take my time for it. That is because every card is a little project to me. Finding the right card (sometimes even paint it myself), pick out matching stamps, and write a text decorated with stickers. Then I bring it with some ceremony to the mailbox . So if you had one of my cards, I hope you liked it - I did do my best.

Yes, yes, it takes some time, but I LOVE IT!

Happy postcrossing, and hope to hear from you soon.

p.s. If you don't know what to write: great! Cause I love small talk. (like: what did you do today, what did you have for breakfast, how did you got this card, whatever). And maybe a few words in your own language.
