I'm a 23 y.o. student from Finland. I'm addicted to tea, coffee, nature, sailing, needlework, literature, metal music, long skirts and viking age. I also like beer, sunsets, soccer, candles, green glass and snow. Some places I would most like to visit if I had all the time and money in the world to travel: Patagonia, Fiordland, Faroe Islands, County Donegal, Okinawa, Cusco, Delphi, British Columbia...
Any postcard will be welcome :) Send a card that fits your mood today, or one that tells something about you, or simply the first one you happened to come by. The traditional view and tourist cards are great, especially if you can tell me a little bit about the place/building/etc. depicted.
If you'd like to look for something special, I always love to receive cards with pictures of:
-mythological creatures and deities
-fantasy creatures (elf, troll, fairy, dragon...)
-old wooden or stone buildings (normal, small buildings are just as fine as important fancy ones)
-famous or peculiar buildings, paintings and people
-old fashioned outfits and traditional costumes
-children's book illustrations
-anything related to coffee or tea
-anything related to books, comics, libraries and literature
-sports (soccer, ice hockey and winter sports are ultimate favourites, but anything goes)
-maps, sailing ships, sailing boats, lighthouses, steam engine trains or anything related to getting from A to B in the past
-anything related to science and astronomy or history of science
-anything related to beer, board games, knitting, classical music, computer games, theatre, motorcycles, jewellery...
As if that list wasn't already too long, in my favourites folder should only be cards I have not received but would love to :)
If you are able to send me a card of any artwork by Theodor Kittelsen, Gustave Doré, Akseli Gallen-Kallela, John William Waterhouse or Alfons Mucha I'll be completely over the moon. (Will do private swaps, I'll try to find you whatever you want ^^)There is a link on top of the page to my web gallery where you can see the cards I've already received.
But those are always just suggestions. I love surprises, I love receiving mail and I'll love ANY card you choose to send :)
