Hello! My name is Kate. I am married, but no children yet. We do have a dog - a corgi named Winston.

I work full-time as a newswire editor for a national media outlet and love my job.

I enjoy photography and try to take pictures as often as possible.

I love to travel. My husband and I went to southern France (Lyon, Marseille) and Italy (Venice, Florence, Rome) for our honeymoon. We visited Cuba in early 2011 for a friend's wedding. We've also been on shorter trips to Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Chicago, and Boston, as well as a number of campgrounds in southern Ontario (we try to go camping at least once a year). On my own, I've been to Calgary, Washington, D.C., New York, Florida and England.

I love red wine, but my husband has turned me on to many craft beers and real ales. He and I enjoy going to beer festivals, breweries and wineries.

When it comes to postcards, I don't have a preference. I'm not a collector - I just love the idea of sending and receiving postcards. The only thing I ask is that you write something on it - your favourite book, what you did that day, if you have any pets, that sort of thing. If you'd also like to write something in your own language - a greeting or a commonly used phrase - that would be fantastic.
