Hi there,
I joined the postcrossing project because I needed some stimulus to make me busy, get moving and fight for my life. In 2011 I had a heart transplant surgery and it was successful.

However, the waiting list of patients who need new hearts in Latvia is quite long. Since no state funding is available and most of patients cannot afford the surgery and treatment expenses, we are attempting to attract people's attention to the problem and raise funds in support of potential donor heart recipients.

THE IDEA OF THE PROJECT IS SIMPLE: Every postcrossing project member is kindly asked to donate one postcard (or more) for a public exhibition-sale event to be organized in Latvia or elsewhere. The possible gain from this event goes to heart transplant surgery purposes in Latvia.

REMEMBER - SUPPORTING THE PROJECT IS OPTIONAL!
JUST FEEL FREE TO FOLLOW THE REGULAR PROCEDURE IF YOU PREFER NOT TO SUPPORT (the same address).

There are no requirements for cards. However, very old & old, stamped & sealed (circulated), written postcards are preferable. Thank you.
