About Monika_Sabina...

Hello Dear Reader,

My name is Monika. I live in Warsaw, where I was born, like my parents, my grandparents etc., so it is quite unique nowadays and I am proud of it. I love my city, however, it was completely demolished during IIWW and its architecture is not so impressive these times. Maybe that's why Berlin stole my heart last October and Münich this May.

In my spare time I dream and plan trips to different parts of the world and... I am learning Hebrew. More then one year ago I went for a first trip to Israel and I fell in love with this country. Then I started learning Hebrew and went for another trip. Apart from exploring Israel I learn facts and read books of famous Israeli novelists, e.g. Amos Oz, David Grossman. But I am open for another cultures too.

There are about 2700 postcards in my collection, mainly with cities:
- main buildings (castles, palaces, synagogues, churches, mosques or other historical buildings),
- monuments,
- streets,
- bridges,
- parks etc.
and views of nature:
- mountains,
- forests,
- beaches,
- islands,
- lakes,
- seas.

I'm a hydro engineer and I am keen on renewable energy, surprisingly - mainly on wind energy, so if you have ever found the postcard with wind farms, windmills, dams, power plants, sluices, or other technical installations, I would be really delighted to receive it.

I always try to do my best and send the postcard which makes the addressee feel happy, so if you would like to make me happy, please, send me ONLY this type of postcards, which I mentioned above. If you still don't know what to send, you can also check my favorite postcards before sending.

I underlined the word "only" in a sentence above, just because I'd rather not get the postcards:
- with pets,
- cartoons (there is only one exception for my beloved Hebrew alphabet),
- Christmas, New Year's, or Easter cards,
- with art,
- religious,
- ad cards,
- self-made.
I don't collect any of them.

You can write whatever you want, but it would be nice to read some facts and figures about a place connected with the postcard or you can answer to one/all of my questions:
1. What place do you love the most, except yours?
2. What is your dream place you would like to go?
3. Why would you like to go there?
4. What is your main reason to participate in Postcrossing?

Greetings from Warsaw,
Monika

PS I don't add any of received postcards to my favorites. There are only the postcards I would love to get. But I usually write something nice in a private message to express how I'm grateful.
