Hello! My name is Cristin. I'm a 23 year-old girl living in the heart of Kansas City, Kansas. Kansas City lies in TWO states; Kansas AND Missouri. If you ask me, Kansas has the far superior part of the city. :)

I love travel, animals (I study veterinary medicine/emergency care), cooking, gardening, camping- anything that gets me connected to this beautiful world. I work two jobs, one that I actually like and another that isn't so great- but I have bills to pay so I shouldn't complain. What do I do in my spare time? SLEEP! But spending time with my friends is always better than sleep- especially when there's music and drinks involved.

My part of the world is nice, but I dream of traveling abroad... Hopefully I'll have the time and the money one day. It'd be GREAT to backpack across Europe.

As far as what kind of postcard I prefer, YOU CAN SEND ME ANYTHING. I'm really not picky. But if you must know, here are some things I enjoy and would adore seeing on a postcard:

Unique views of your country, food unique to your country, Graffiti, something controversial, art nouveau, Mucha, Dali, Klimt, Hundertwasser, Neil Gaiman, Kurt Vonnegut, Hunter S. Thompson, The Beatles, teacups and teapots, "art" cards, gargoyles, tattoos, burlesque, belly dancers, ballet, black and white photography, geisha, Marie Antoinette, birds, unique or "weird" cards (if you have something REALLY odd in your collection, I will gladly give it a good home), Doctor Who, Charlie Chaplin, Monty Python, poppies, sea otters, rare and endangered animals, Hello Kitty, retro, vintage, mythology, pubs, something bright and colorful... and everything in-between. Take a look at my selection of 'Favorites' on my wall, you'll see that I like a ton of different kinds of cards. And I LOVE handmade cards. :)

The back of the card? Tell me anything! Tell me about your day, your pets, your dreams, your town, your travels. Tell me a funny story. Share a favorite quote. Recommend a book or movie you think I might like. Draw a picture! Make it personal, make it all about you and your home.

But, really. Don't worry about it- Anything is welcome! I treasure each postcard I receive, and they always make me happy.

FRIENDS IN THE UNITED STATES : I LOVE horrible tourist traps, and I'm planning a road trip to go visit some of the best. So please tell me about your favorite, local tourist trap! The weirder the better. A card featuring them would be great, but any old card will do. Again, the weirder the better. :)
