Hi Postcrosser,
My name is Mieke. I am 37 years old and I live in Gemert (near city of Eindhoven) in The Netherlands. I am married and have 2 daughters; Femke is 3 years old and Karlijn is 1 year old. I work part-time as a teacher on a school with creative students from around 16-20 years old.
My hobbies are: arts & crafts (crochet, scrapbooking), photography, dancing (Israelic), reading (magazines or books about psychology), shopping and walking in the forest.
Music: Heather Nova, Katie Melua, Laura Jansen, Faithless, DJ Tiesto, 80's (Simple Minds, U2)
Movie: le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulin
Food: Italian (lasagne, pizza, carpaccio)
I am excited to get any kind of postcard, but I especially like cards with:
- bright (rainbow) colours
- cute, girly illustrations (hearts, flowers, angels, balloons)
- Russian dolls (matrioshka/baboushka)
- characters (Hello Kitty, Anne Geddes, Forever friends, Oilily etc.)
- childrens book illustrations
- knitting, crocheting
- vintage postcards (with children)
- for my little girls: postcards with Dora, Teletubbies or Sesame Street
