Hello! My name is Laura and I'm 24 years old. I study Japanese and Indonesian at Leiden University, but I spend most weekends at my parents' place in Maastricht.

Here are some things that fascinate me:

Nature/animals: caves, mountains, volcano's, dogs (I have a Golden Retriever), orcas, cats.

Art: Art nouveau/Jugendstil (Gaudi, Klimt, Mucha, etc), realism (Edward Hopper, Rembrandt, etc), impressionism (Degas, Manet, Monet)

Japan: Hokusai, Shin hanga, nihonga, youga, Gunkanjima, Hokkaido (I'd love to visit it one day), Ainu, etc.

Indonesia: Batik (Belanda Batik, Jawa Hokokai Batik, Jawa Baru...), pre-war times, country-side, etc.

Astronomy: Moon, gravity, planets, etc.

Other: languages, food, castles, vintage (reprints), violins, 1920s-50s (women's fashion), women with long hair, 19th century photographs, stamps, mystery/detective, urban decay, ghost towns, rice fields.
