I like REAL card, and not in an envelope. Traces suffered on the road is pleasure. Any card from your heart and love is nice, but some topics are my favorite:
* Nature green view, Forest, Mountains!!
* Landmark
* River, Sea, Ocean and Bridges
* City view, Farm view, Snow view
* Old photo
* Comics or Cartoon from your country
* Art work, Map card
If you have not much word to write, I think it will be interesting that you paste a piece of newspaper ( headline, word, draw, picture, star... ) on the card!!
