Hi! My name is Megan. I'm 46 years old. I currently live in Albany, New York, USA, located 150 mi/242 km (approximately 3 hours) north of New York City.

For me, the best thing about living in Albany is the hiking. One hour to the south of Albany lie the Catskill Mountains. One hour to the north lie the Adirondack Mountains. One hour to the east and northeast lie the Berkshires of Massachusetts and the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Originally, I'm from Abilene, Texas (USA). I've also lived in Dallas, Austin, and western New York State. I've visited 32 of the 50 U.S. states, Mexico, Canada, and Greece.

I live with my husband and our 12-year-old son. I work as a natural/organic foods cook, but I am studying to become a librarian/archivist. I am also a poet. Almost everything interests me!

I am not a collector of postcards. I participate in PostCrossing because I'm interested in people, culture, and travel. I view PostCrossing as a means of spreading kindness and good will across the globe. Therefore, please don't just mail a blank postcard. Please write at least one or two sentences about your self/family, your home town, city, or region, or tell me what book you are reading, perhaps. If writing something is too difficult, draw me a picture! :) Blank cards are no fun! Please tell me SOMETHING...

* poetry, literature (book-related postcards, or postcards with photographs of famous authors/poets, or anything similarly related)

I don't choose official "favorites" from the postcards I receive, because I appreciate all of the postcards I get, and I'm appreciative of the time and care it took each person to send it to me. Thanks!
