About Mariyo...

Hi there!

My name is Marjo and I live in the centre of Helsinki. I have lived also in Nagasaki in Japan, and now I major in East Asian studies at the University of Helsinki.
So users from Japan (and everyone who can write Japanese), it would be great if you wrote your message on the card in Japanese. Please add also furigana, since I'm still a beginner.

My favourite pastime activity is definitely reading. So feel free to recommend me your favourite authors and books!
I also enjoy photography, cooking and baking, swimming and watching movies. I love animals, especially dogs, guinea pigs and giant pandas, but unfortunately can't keep pets at the moment.

I would be most glad to receive cards with

- sweets, cakes, desserts, fruits, food in general
- hot air balloons
- rainbows, clouds
- guinea pigs, raccoons, wombats, parrots, giant pandas
- any animal babies
- fashion, vintage
- Pomeranians, Parson Russell Terriers, Australian Shepherds
- people, especially women and children
- traditional costumes
- female nude, erotica, pin-up
- beautiful landscapes
- children's book illustrations
- cute and colourful cards
- anything related to Japan
- black and white pictures

I like many other themes as well, so please have a look at my favourites and you'll get the idea of what I like. Of course I'll be happy with any card that you think is beautiful or interesting.
I also like homemade cards, so free your inner artist and create something cool for me!

However, I'm not so much into touristic multiviews or cityviews (I like nightviews and neonlights though), so please save these cards for someone else if possible.

I like it when people write long messages on cards, so tell me how your day was, what you ate, your favourite song/movie/colour/place/hobby, what the card is about or why you chose it, what makes you happy at the moment or anything you feel like sharing with me. Maybe you want to tell me about someone or something you love more than anything else.

I would also appreciate some words or sentences (with English translation) in your mother tongue or some other language you know.
Please, date the card and don't use an envelope. I like pretty stamps too!

I hope you have a wonderful day!
