About Laura&Kaylee...

Hello!

My name is Laura and my daughter is Kaylee. We live in the prairie region of beautiful Canada.

I love to:
- spend time outside,
- create things, and
- relax with family and friends.
Kaylee loves to:
- talk with her family,
- play and (almost) walk around,
- observe and learn from people, and
- nap!

I am a science teacher, but am currently working as a substitute/supply teacher until I find a more permanent position. Kaylee is one year old.

I have not traveled the world very much and will not be able to for a while yet, but I look forward to receiving postcards from many places. They give me places to daydream about traveling to with my daughter! :)

I'm putting all the postcards we receive into a photo album, and when she's a little older we will practice reading with them and Kaylee will learn about other beautiful places in world.

Please don't send a blank postcard; if you don't know what to write, here are some suggestions:
- What are some traditions/festivals in your country?
- What is your favourite childhood memory?
- Is there a quotation that means something to you?
- What is your favourite recipe or suggestions of your favourite music?, or
- What was the best thing that happened to you today? :)
Also, feel free to write the postcard to Kaylee instead of me, because she'll love that when she's old enough to read!

We really like postcards (especially multi-view cards) of:
-local landscapes, buildings, parks
-monuments and history
-places of worship
-cultural cuisine, beverages, sweets
-festivals/events, entertainment, and movies/music of your country
-UNESCO sites, etc...
-basically cards that will allow us to learn about your country and culture!
-However we really love cards with owls too! Science is also cool. And children's book illustrations!
-We also really like hand-made postcards if you're into that kind of thing (painted, crafted, especially own photograph)! I love to make postcards for others as well, although lately I haven't had the time...

Just know that we will appreciate and treasure any card we receive :) We would also rather than the postcard is NOT sent in an envelope please.

If you are fluent in a language other than English, we would also appreciate a translation of the words 'Love' and 'Happiness', and I feel that these are probably the most important things in the world.

If you include your address on the card you send, we would be happy to send a postcard back to you in thanks! :)

Take care! Happy Postcrossing!
-Laura & Kaylee
