I'm Lars,

I have a famous ancestor:
Cornelis Jol, a notorius corsair and admiral of the Dutch West India Company. He was an important person in the colonial history of my country.

I live closeby the dike of the IJsselmeer, the biggest lake in my country in the green province Noord-Holland.

My music interest is very big, I like a lot: Rock, Hardrock, Metal (Iron Maiden), Jazz, Soul, Spanish guitar, Mexican guitar, Portuguese fado, Salsa, Tango

My biggest hobby is discovering the world by traveling. I've already been in:

Netherlands, Germany, 2 of the Netherlands Antilles (Curaçao & Aruba), USA, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, France, England, Luxembourg, Belgium, Spain and Portugal.

Also, I love animals, especially dogs. I like to take them for a walk across the flat polders around here.

Did you know that until 1839 present Belgium and present Luxembourg were also part of my country too? And that New York was founded by the Dutch during the colonial ages? It was called New Amsterdam :)
