About Larry...

Hello and Greetings from New Jersey!

I live 20 miles from New York City. I am semi-retired, which just means that I work whenever I can find work, or whenever I need some extra money to buy some new "toys"! I am an advanced class amateur radio operator with the callsign KG2CV and enjoy talking to people all over the world (DXing) and especially to people on all the various islands of the world.

I also participate on the web in the WheresGeorge currency tracking project, the Bookcrossing project, and with distributed computing projects using BOINC such as Seti@Home, Einstein@Home, malariacontrol.net etc.

As for postcards, just send anything that you think will make me smile - believe me, I am not hard at all to please! If you need some hints or suggestions, I particularly like postcards with:

City views
Museums
Art Cards - naughty or nice!
Trains, railroads, transportation
Street art, graffiti
Radio, communications equipment, QSLs
Mail art of all types
Homemade cards - photo cards, made from scratch cards, or regular cards modified with labels, stickers and/or rubber stamped images

If you don't have any of these, just send what you have and surprise me!!

To all those who have already sent me postcards or with whom I have done direct swaps - thanks again!

Have an awesome day!

P.S. You can also follow me on Twitter: http://twitter.com/LarryHidingHawk where I post at least one of my original photos every day. For the year 2011, my current project is to post a funny, weird, unusual or interesting "Vanity License Plate Photo of the Day" Check them out!

In addition to commercially made postcards, I also send out quite of few of my unique home made cards using photos that I have taken. You can see some examples here:

P.P.S. If you can check my twitpic photos going back to the month of December, I post a series of my own photos of New York City entitled "Christmas in the City" with a different holiday aspect of the season in the Big Apple. If you enjoy Christmas I think you will enjoy some of my Xmas snapshots!!
