About Kerela...
I'm 20 years old and study in the Beautiful Heidelberg, but originally I'm from a small town on the north of Bavaria. I also use my home-address for postcrossing as I'm only in Heidelberg from Monday to Friday, and not during the term-holidays, so it could take a while, till I register your cards, sorry :(, but I think waiting some days is still better than waiting some month, what would happen if I did use my adress in Heidelberg and went home during the holidays.
My hobbies are reading (mainly fantasy and crime) writing and reciving letters and postcards, music, handcrafts (Knitting, sewing, embroidery, spinning...) and much more.
I speak German (of course), English (quite good, as I've been learning it for over 10 years) and I know some basic Czech and Russian, which I'm trying to improve, so if you write an easy message in these languages I'll be very happy. But basically I'm interestied in all languages so if you write some sentences in your native language with a translation that would be great.
Oh, and I study English and computational linguistics ;)
I like almost every kind of postcard except ad-cards. But I'm always especially happy about cards showing:
Castles or other historic buildings or anything related to history, e.g. also reenatcment-scenes etc.
Sunsets/sundowns
Thunder & lighning, storms or 'nature's power'
cemeteries
Fanatsy-cards with elves, fairies, dragons or unicorns
All kinds of night-views
some natural scenery, that is typical for your country
lakes, waterfalls, the sea
And as I like handcrafts something related to that would also be great, like a spinning-wheel or so.
Any cards with metal (or folk)-bands are also welcome ^^
I also won't say no to moomin-cards, Unesco-sites and Map-cards ;)
I don't mind it, if the card and the stamp are from different countries. But I'd love it, if you could put any nice stamp on the card.
If you don't know what to write I'm happy if you would tell me some words in your native language (with english translation), apart from that I always like
typical recipes from your country
any book-recommodation
a nice quote or poem
I prefer my cards written and stemped not in an envelope.
I really love elks, so if you have an elk-card (AE: moose), send it!
