I am a postcard collector from Alaska who blogs on postcardkris.blogspot.com. Like myself, my collection is eclectic – everything from bland motels, advertising postcards to 100 year old paint-over-photo portrait cards printed in Germany and France. I have cards made of cloth, copper, linen, cider, and some edged with sled dog fir.
I prefer postcards that you especially like, such as the portrait of your favorite person's portrait,the train or tram you ride everyday, the artist or traditional dancer you are enamored with, the bridge made famous by history or literature, or the men of your country at work.
Most importantly, when you write your message imagine that I am a long lost friend. Bring me up to date on what is happening in your life. Or simply write a short greeting with a quote from a favorite poem or a favorite saying. Surprise me.
