I just love to receive mail from all over the world and as a little girl I used to have many pen palls(well no, now that I remember... I used to write loads of letters until I graduated, by then I wasn't that little any more) but now I'm a busy 40 yrs 'old' mum (two boys, 11 & 8) and do not have (make, be honest here) the time to write the long letters I used to those days. But a postcard is easy and just as much fun!

I live with my Italian husband, kids and very weird, but well loved cat. I spend my professional life as a communications teacher and have my own company as an independent communications/personal skills trainer ( www.trainenzo.nl in Dutch of course :) ).

In my spare time I like to go out sailing, read (English)literature, visit the theatre -with or without our sons, I sing, love to travel and play games (though I am quite a bad loser...hmm). As a family we're very enthusiastic about the CouchSurfing project. We are always looking forward to meet new people and show the kids how much fun it is to meet new international friends!

I don't have clear preferences about the type of card (the sometimes extensive 'no-lists' make me a bit sad), just write me a message on the card itself. More then the picture on the card, it's the fact that someone spent a few minutes of his/her time for you that makes it special! If you do want to have an idea of cards that were especially liked to look at, I've marked some as favourites.

Of course I will also make the small 'in return' effort to write you a thank you note when I register your card (as soon as I've received it) and tell you how much I've enjoyed reading it!
