About Nikki...

I'm a 34 year old graduate student from the U.S. and after spending a year traveling around Europe (having sold our house and our cars and most of our belongings in order to have a bit of adventure), we now live in Chicago.

Now to give the all-important "I love" list: I love traveling, writing, gardening, reading, hiking, cooking for friends, photography, playing & listening to music of all kinds, and playing board games. And reading. Probably reading more than anything else. :)

I'd prefer to get postcards that tell me a little bit about the sender, as one of my favorite things in life is getting to know all kinds of different people. What do you do for a living? For fun? Where do you live? What's your favorite thing about where you live? What do you dream of doing someday? If you could live anywhere on Earth, where would that be and why? What's the weirdest thing you've ever done? What kind of music do you like? Do you prefer tea or coffee or some other hot drink I've never heard of? What's your favorite food? Etc etc etc ...

I also really like jokes, so if you've got a good one, pass that along, too. Or a good quote in your own language (preferably with a translation, but if you don't speak English, that's cool too. Well, you wouldn't be reading this if you didn't speak English ... so, never mind).

If you have a favorite local recipe you love to cook, pass it along- I'd love to try it out.
