I am a 40+ year old woman from Dordrecht (NL). My birthday is August 17th. I like:
The color red.
Flowers: Lilies and orchids. I live in a ground floor apartment and have a small garden that I like to be in when the weather is good. I made some attempts to grow my own vegetables, but no luck so far.
Animals. I am a dog person (though I don't own one!) and I love all life in and around water: fish, mammals (manatees and dolphins in particular), birds, corals & shells... But I'd be happy to receive any animal card you would like to send.
Crafts: I do ceramics, make paper crafts (postcards!),
knit ...
Arts: especially works of Monet, Dali & Rosina Wachtmeister. But if you have a card featuring a work from another artist, that would be appreciated too!
Taking walks: both in nature as well as in the streets of an interesting city. Of course it would be nice to know a little about where you live. So please feel free to send me a postcard featuring something from your hometown or a landscape in your area. I do prefer single views!
Writing: I have a blog, write articles on wikiHow and (occasionally) short stories, and since late 2009 I have a Twitter account.
The Twitter account was what got me interested in postcrossing, because one of the people I follow (user Sjiraffe on Postcrossing) posted tweets every now and then about sending and receiving cards.

Music: Rock. From the late 70's until today. My favourite radiostation is Arrow Classic Rock.
Books: SF, fantasy, thrillers & detectives.
Food. Both cooking and eating. I always like to try something new, so if you have a favourite recipe, feel free to include that in your card.
Trying new products: I am a member of a couple of consumer panels and I try new products they send me.
Collecting miniature perfume bottles. Unfortunately I don't have any I can swap... :-(
As for TV: My favourite TV night is Saturday, when The Closer, Cold Case and Without a Trace are on. I like Law & Order as well.
I like postcards featuring any of the above, stories, legends and just funny ones (cartoons and comics). I also feel very inspired by the nature of the Nordic countries.
