About Harry...
I'm a retired university professor. I taught resource management and environmental policy, as well as zoology. I continue to do research, mainly on woodland birds, and spend about 6 weeks each year in the Australian outback studying the effects of drought and fire on wildlife. I am a keen conservationist.
I live in Sydney on an island in the Hawkesbury River, which is about 35 km north of the city and surrounded by national parks. I like birds, pigs, fishing, nature, and gardening. Not sure why I like pigs, but my interest in birds and nature goes back many decades. The garden provides most of our vegetables and I am keen (and good) cook. Recipes welcome. I also collect stamps, so please use lots of stamps or send some in an envelope. I'm happy to send some back.
Happy to hear your thoughts about your environment and the animals around you, even if they are pigeons and cattle.
