Hello:

I live in Taiwan, and I am very interested in ancient things -
especially about women from 100 years ago in China.

I like hairpins very much. I don't know why.
Some witch said I used to play with hairpins from my past life.
I collect a lot of old antique hairpins (more than 1000 pc).

They are so very beautiful and made using very a good technique (metal working). Most of them are antiques, so some of them are not in good condition. That's why I went back to university to learn cultural heritage conservation. I want to repair and conserve them for the future. The antiques will live longer than I will and I want them to remain in the best condition, with no more deterioration.

My dream is to build a hairpin museum. It sounds very easy but it is a big dream for me. It's a difficult dream because I am not a rich person and I can not afford so much money to build a museum unless I win the lottery. But I still keep this dream in my mind and hope it will come true one day.

As well as antique hairpins I also collect old postcards about Chinese women from 100 years ago. They all wear traditional dress and some of them have bound feet.

I like to find any secrets that hide in the old postcards - such as the same person in different pictures or interesting messages sent all over the world.

I would like to be a woman in China 100 years ago because their costumes and jewellery are so beautiful. I did something crazy before: I went to the photo studio and wore antique Chinese woman's clothes to take some pictures to imitate the old postcards. I then printed these pictures as postcards. So if you get postcards from me, it is very possible to get one that I made myself. The person on the postcard is me, a modern person who wants to be a Ching dynasty girl. I hope you like this idea.

And I really hope if one day I build my hairpin museum, you can be the VIP visitors. Today that's only a dream. But I know it will be come true one day.

I accept all kind of postcards from you. Especially hand made ones. If you are interestion in swapping postcard with me I will also very happy to send my own postcards to you. (the one with my picture on it that imitates an old postcard.)
