About Adam...

I am 34 years old and live in Portland, Maine although I grew up in Annandale, Virginia which is just outside Washington D.C. I studied Latin and Greek at the University of Virginia. After school I managed an independent video rental store for a number of years before joining the United States Army as an infantry rifleman.

My interests include reading, writing, movies, ancient Greek and Roman history, as well as all Asian cultures. I have traveled to Greece, Great Britain, Scotland, Iraq, and Kuwait.

I think Postcrossing is a fantastic idea and a great promoter of understanding and friendship between all cultures, religions, and nations. It's a great geography lesson too. :)
