I am a 70 year old grandmother who lives in Las Vegas. I have two daughters and two grandsons; fortunately they also live in Las Vegas.

I am somewhat of an amateur photographer, and have recently made postcards from my personal collection of photos. I will not send these to anyone who requests "no handmade cards".

I volunteer at a rescue shelter for cats--there are over 100 cats in the facility. You can see some of the cats at www.poppyfoundation.org if you are interested.

I like to read, expecially light mysteries.

As far as sports are concerned I like NASCAR (Jimmie Johnson and Michael Waltrip) and baseball (Chicago Cubs).

Since my grandsons (ages 13 and 8) need to learn more about the world they live in I share my cards with them, so please be sure your cards are "child friendly." Handmade cards are welcome, but prefer no ad cards. I prefer cards stamped with no envelopes. Also, please put the date on the card as the postmarks are often blurred.

Favorite postcards: NOTE: I prefer single view cards now as my scanner has decided to scan the multiview cards as several cards instead of just one unless I fill in the space between the pictures.

City views (streets, buildings, arenas, theaters, etc.)
Countryside views and landscapes/ mountains, farms, etc.
Rivers/lakes/beaches/harbors/waterfalls
Transportation (cars,boats,trains,airplanes,bicycles, etc.)
Map cards
People (adults/children)
Animals, birds, fish, etc. (especially those native to your region)
Food/recipes
Flowers/trees
Toys/games

I try register all cards the day I receive them.

Recently I have taken road trips around the USA and Australia so I have cards from other regions as well as those from the Las Vegas area.
