About Anja...

Hello, my name is Anja. I am a creative (with paper and scissors but also with fotography (flowers/nature) and with cooking and baking (for instance cake with marzipan)) mother of two boys and married for more than 12 years now.

I live in Nijmegen. Nijmegen is the oldest city of the Netherlands (Roman soldier camp). It has 160.000 citizens. Nijmegen is situated on a range of hills near the river Waal. In July people all over the world are coming to this city to walk the International Four Days Marches. It is a week of festivities.

I studied history at the university in my young days (specialty ancient history (wrote paper about Cleopatra)) and work now half days at an audit firm (see it as modern history ;) ).

I used to write a lot of letters and cards when I was a teen. I loved receiving post no matter what. When reading about this site, memories came back and I could not go futher without signing in.

On the photo above you can see me as a volunteer at a kind of summer camp. At the end of the summer holiday kids of our neighbourhood (4-12 years) will spend the day at our summer camp for a week. During that week they build a hut of wood. We also keep them bussy with film, sports and creativity (of course that is "my" department) and so on. On the photo you see me with a girl who is going to engrave a glass. Not easy to do so only for the elder kids.

I like to see where you live so a card from your country, (capital)city or area would be great. But I like a lot of things. So surprise me ! :) I see every card I receive as a little present from a friend. Thank you in advance for the card and happy postcrossing !!!
