About Antje...

Hello!
I live in a little town in the southwest of Germany between the Rhine and the vineyards of Rhineland-Palatinate with it’s ancient castles . I am a librarian. My husband is owner of a little bookshop, and there I work, too. For about 30 years (I was a little girl), I am collecting sand from all over the world. My parents didn’t have enough money to travel with me to foreign countries. So friends and neighbors go on holiday and bring me some sand. Beeing at a beach, looking for nice seashells or stones is still the greatest thing to me.

Here are some more hobbies:
- city-trips for a weekend
- driving with my old car
- watching soccer and other sports
- cooking/baking
- crafting
- going to art exhibitions

If you send me a postcard concerning one of my hobbies, it would be great. But: Don’t worry, I will enjoy any postcard that you send.

You live in a city at the sea with beach nearby? Or you still have some sand as souvenir from your last holydays? I would be happy to receive a little bit. Put it in a litte bag and together with your postcard in an envelope. Don't forget to write exactly down from which beach it is. My collection is still growing (now ~ 300 little jam jars) and I make a note on every back side who send me the sand.
