My name is Jan and I live in Moenchengladbach, a boring town with a funny name.
Moenchengladbach is located west of the Rhine, between Duesseldorf and the dutch town of Roermond. Moenchengladbach lies at the heart of the Lower Rhine region, 15 kilometres from the river Rhine and 15 kilometres to the river Maas (Netherlands). The dutch-german Naturepark Maas-Schwalm-Nette / Nationalpark De Meinweg is near the city. I drive a lot by bike in the border region between Rhine and Maas or walking at the Meinweg forest.
I am an architect and have my own office in Moenchengladbach. I specialized in thermographic pictures (infrared pictures) of buildings – www.jan-pongs.de/english.html I'm interested for ecological buildings, renewable energy (solar) and houseboats.
I'd like all postcards that you will send. But my preferences are card with bridges or buildings and cards showing your country and the countryside as well as famous sights.
