Blues, jazz, country, rock, folk, from the country blues of the 1930's to the punk rock of the late 70's, from Skip James to The Ramones, I think I have pretty eclectic musical tastes, as long as it sounds good to my ears and played by real musicians. Ok, I'm mainly into oldies but the last 20 years have given us some really great artists too. Lucky me, if it wasn't the case, I couldn't go to concerts anymore and I love that.
I'm an avid reader too. About a book a week. A few of my favourites authors : Charles Bukowski, Louis-Ferdinand Céline, Patrick Senécal, Jim Thompson, Alexandre Dumas, James Ellroy, Michael Connelly, Paul Auster, John Fante, John Steinbeck, Georges Simenon, Michel Houellebecq and so many others.
Movies... well, I used to go to the theatre at least 4-5 times a week back in my bachelor years. Now I go twice a month but I still watch a lot of films on DVD. Again, I don't really have a preferred genre, I like idiotic comedies and Ingmar Bergman, italian zombies and John Ford, Die Hard and Jean-Luc Godard.
I like traveling too. Haven't been to many countries but I'm really curious of other cultures. I've spent 6 months in Vancouver, BC a century ago and went back to Canada several times since. A few trips to the US too, and I've visited several european countries.
If I add that I enjoy good meals, good wines and beers and that I'm addicted to coffee, I think I've covered pretty much all of me. Because who cares about my inner life, hey ?
