About Emily...

Hello!

I am a part time college student, planning on becoming a nutritionist & owning my own restaurant after I finish school. I'm part time because I have medical conditions, which make me struggle with constant fatigue, as well as other functionings in life (so I'm a big health nut to balance it out^__^). I love the arts (went to an art high school for cartooning & film), nature, & I love reading (Fairy tales, Fantasy, Adventures, Mangas, etc) & singing on my spare time (Mainly rock music). I also rescue animals (At the moment, I have a dog named Cujo, 2 chinchilla's named Biscuit & Pepper, & a guinea pig named Whirly). I like traveling a lot, & different cultures, & history. My husband is from Finland, & we just got married December 2010 (Yeay!). I was born & raised in New York City, but my ethnic background is German, Czech, Scottish, Spanish, Irish, Swiss, & Dutch (I know it's a lot!)...umm...I love cute, & beautiful things...Video games...Fantasy & fairy tales...Horror...Angels...I'm kind of a Jack of all Trades~

I would be very happy with any postcard really...Ones that show off your culture or where you live (anything you think defines your country/city...Landscapes, monuments...Maybe something that came from your country, for example pictures of Moomins or the band Nightwish from Finland, Sauerbraten or Oktoberfest from Germany, or an Akita or Kimono from Japan)...Or of course you can send me anything you think I might like (I like pretty much anything^__^), something you like or find unique. Please write me something about your culture (maybe a recipe from your country, or how to say "I love you" or "Hello" in your language!), about yourself, things you like, or any recommendations (like for books or movies)^__^ But please, don't go out of your way to buy a special card, really, any will do (even hand made cards are welcome, unique ad/detail cards, or letters!). & you can write me anything...If you want to write me how your day went, or venting about something, even a passage from a book you just read or just a collage of stickers instead of text, it's all good with me (I love reading whats on the cards the most!)^__^ Christmas/holiday/birthday/religious cards are welcome all year round!

Receiving postcards REALLY brighten up my day, especially since I have been getting sicker over time. It makes me feel special & happy when I read mail since this is basically my only social life at the moment (but even before I got seizures, I always enjoyed mail^__^)~
