About Elise...
HI EVERYONE!
I just started to join postcrossing.com about 10 minutes ago and I love it already. I would love too receive postcards from your hometown (maybe even a photograph?), so I can discover a little what it is like over there. Please don't send the regular ones, like flowers... but if you do, you should definitely add a great picture of your hometown or somewhere near your hometown to make up! (just joking!) Some more of my wishes are:
- add a (money)coin from your country
- add something that specifies you or your country/hometown
- write a sentence or a word in your own language (please, along with the translation)
- postcards: from your country/hometown like I said, I also would like postcards about your culture and fashion. But any will do! If you have other great ideas to add too the postcard, like a drawing you made or photograph you took that you just need to share... please do!!
Let's see, something about myself... I'm 21 years old, I love to draw and I'm studying to be an primary school teacher. In our last year the school gives us the opportunity too go to other countries and see what the schools look like over there. Unfortunately they don't have any connections with New york, which is - of course - the city where I wanna go too! So I have to arrange it myself. Luckily, I've been there 3 times and I know my way around, but of course I don't know any schools or teachers (or 'regular' people for that matter) over there. So..... if anyone has any tips to make this happen for me?? All the tips are VERY WELCOME! (If you live in NYC, maybe especially you can help me out? Please let me know and contact me (you can read below how you can) or let me know throughout the postcard!
As you can see on my profile I have a personal website (with a Mac it looks the way it supposed to, with any other pc the lay-out is probably all over the place unfortunately). Almost everything on it is in Dutch right now, but in a few weeks it will be in English so it's much more understandable for the most of you guys over here. I hope you enjoy, cause it has been a lot off work! I also have some other websites, like Facebook, Twitter, Fashiolista, a personal blog and a World-travel-map. If you would like to follow me, you can find all of these pages at "contact" at my website.
Love, Elise
