About Bartek...

Hi,

I'm Bartek, I live in a small town Pruszcz Gdański, 10 km from Gdańsk - the largest city on the Polish Baltic Sea. I come from a small village near the largest castle in the world - the Teutonic Knights Castle in Malbork.

I live with my girlfriend, five cats and tons of the books lying around the house. My hobbies are reading books and playing board games. I also love taking pictures, especially during the exploration of abandoned places, ruins and military facilities. The most interesting journey, which I attended and took photos of, was a trip to Chernobyl and the anbandoned city Pripyat.

You can send me any postcard, but I really love receiving postcards presenting this themes:
- Beautiful breathtaking, colorful, bright, vivid or foggy landscapes or views of nature (eg. mountains, volcanos, water, caves, deserts)
- UNESCO World Heritage Sites
- WWF
- Indigenous people, ethnic groups, tribes, national costumes, ceremonies
- Castles, temples, cathedrals
- Nouvelles Images
- Views of abandoned cities, places, houses, ruins, etc.
- Military facilities
- Famous buildings, monuments
- Gotochi Cards
- Maxicards
- Steampunk
- Reprints of old postcards (not old cards, only reprints)
- Propaganda
- Wolves, coyotes, foxes
- Cats (but please, rather not sweetie, cutie)
- Girls reading books
- Alice in Wonderland by Arthur Rackham
- Inge Löök
- Thomas Kinkade
- Cards from my favourites that I don't already have.

Please, check my albums of received postcards (sorted by countries) at https://picasaweb.google.com/115716226524984685257 to avoid duplicates.

If you're going to send me a postcard, please consider: This may be the first (and perhaps the only) view on your country, that I ever get. What shall I think: That your country is boring and your people don't care? Or that it's beautiful and the people amiable?

Please, send me a postcard only from your country, with matching ID. If the ID is from country X, please, don't send me postcard showing country Y ;).

I prefer receiving postcards written and stamped, not in envelope. Unusual stamps are welcome too :).

I don't like receiving ad- or freecards, multiviews, handmade, Happy Birthday/Christmas/New Year/Easter and self-printed postcards. I'll be very happy if you keep those types of postcards for those who appreciate them more ;).

Please, don't send cards with 3rd party like Touchnote. I don't want them having my address. Besides, cards you've never had in your hand are impersonal and make me sad :(

I'd be grateful if you write something about yourself, your interest, the day on which you sent me, what good or bad happened to you this day. I'd like to collect the memories of everyday people around the world. I'd also love it if you could write something about your city, town, country that is not often mentioned in travel guides. The more you write, the better!
