She has been a member for over 2 years (1072 days).I live in a little village of about 900 inhabitants, surrounded by beautiful nature. I'm a 37-year-old Gemini, married, mom of two boys (7 and 10) with a third one on the way, love penpalling, reading, cooking, traveling, languages, and lots more. Fan of The Boss.
If you don't know what to write, just tell me one of the following (these are just random suggestions):
your childhood ambition?
your last purchase?
your wildest dream?
your favorite movie/book/meal?
your proudest moment?
what do you see outside your window?
Please do NOT put the postcard in an envelope along with a sheet of paper. I prefer them postmarked and written on. I like cards showing a typical landscape, a historic building or anything that is special from your place. If you don't have a touristic card, just send me something funny or cool :-) No pet cards, Disney cards or Anne Geddes cards, please!
If your native language is one of those I speak, please use it when writing your card. I can also read Dutch.
I look forward to hearing from you :-)

One more thing I'd like to mention is why I do postcrossing: because I'm interested in other cultures and languages, finding new penfriends, learning new things in general - NOT to cross something off my list or to add a piece to my collection.
Somebody pointed out to me that the above were "a bunch of my own rules" for postcrossing. I'm just trying to avoid misunderstandings and disappointment. It is, after all, quite an expensive hobby. No offense intended!
----------------------------------------
I always try to comply with the addressee's interests or requests and choose a matching card, unless your profile reveals nothing whatsoever. However, I do no longer send cards in envelopes, as it costs twice as much postage and I just don't see the point of it, the more so when people don't even say thanks for having made the effort to consider their requests. If people want an unwritten card they may as well go to the store and buy one on their own.
And I simply ignore addresses I get of people who have made a profile for their pets or who have given no information whatsoever in their profile. Sorry, but that's not my idea of postcrossing.
THANKS FOR READING :-)
