About Dana...

I read lots of cookbooks but only cook a couple of times a month
My dog is named Jake; he's part sled dog and part German Shepherd.
In the Winter in Alaska, we have a lot of darkness. The sun doesn't come up until after I'm at work and it goes back down before I get to go home. So I try to learn constellations and astronomy.

Any kind of postcard is great: handmade, funny, advertising, art, whatever. I like birds. I especially like boring postcards: when they make a postcard of something and you can't figure out why they made a postcard of it: a dull building or a highway or a room with no one in it.

If you don't know what to write, tell me about a local saying you have. For example in Alaska there are more men than women, so it's supposed to be easy for a woman to find a man if she wants one, but the men can be sort of strange, so we say:
"The odds are good, but the goods are odd"
