Hi! I'm Caroline, 56, and I live in Westzaan, a small village near Amsterdam. In Westzaan you can find papermill 'De Schoolmeester", the only still working wind/papermill in the world: http://zaanschemolen.nl/molen/de-schoolmeester/

I'm married with 2 children (24& 26 years old). We also have a dog (a stabyhoun) and 3 cats. I'm the owner of a webshop: http://www.tinstarcompany.com (with also a lot of postcards :-)).

I love to knit (sweaters/socks/whatever), I'm doing it since I was 14, and I'm still knitting almost every day), take a look at what I knit: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Carolinevantveer. And recently I started crocheting again.

I also love to read! Scandinavian thrillers are my favourites (I love everything from Henning Mankell, Camilla Lackberg, Jo Nesbo etc.), but also The Cider House Rules from John Irving, all books from Roald Dahl and all books from Harlan Coben. And a lot of Dutch writers. When I was young I had penpals, and I still love to get (and send!) cards from all over the world, so I joined postcrossing.

My favourite shows on tv: Dexter, Monk, American Horror Story, Criminal Minds, Big Bang Theory, and I love Wallace & Gromit :-). I also love Tim Burton movies, and movies from the Coen brothers.

I like ALL cards :-), but especially postcards with:
* retro moviestars or movies (50's, 60's, 70's)
* local royalty or presidents
* knitting persons or knitwork
* pictures of your hometown or country, or anything else local (please no more multiviews! But I love cityviews)
* toys
* tin toys
* art
* reading women
* retro VW bus (60's) or retro car (20's till 60's)

One little thing however: free ad cards are appreciated if they fit my profile (or look at my favourites), but if not, please don't send them. And no home made cards, I'm sorry.

And I would really like it if you tell me something about yourself, or the place you live, or your favourite book or band, hobby, or whatever you want to share :-). I love my postcards written & stamped.
